Propeller Island City Lodge

This definitely enters high on the 'creepy' hotel scale - and no, it's not because it's haunted or anything like that.

Created by German artist Lars Stroschen, in an attempt to create a "living work of art", the hotel features over 30 rooms - each with a different theme - including a recreated dungeon, an upside-down room and a room completely covered in mirrors.

Its website states the hotel is 'a magnet for creative individuals, those weary of consumption, those who see things differently, philosophers and seekers of perspective and vision'.
